While yes, this HEAVILY MODIFIED Messerschmitt Me 264 might have done well, I think the Arado E.555 and Horten Ho XVIII just might have better succeeded in this role. A flying wing is just more fuel efficient, and (in time) allowed for intercontinental distance on the same amount of fuel. It also allows for internal bomb bays, which adds to the aerodynamics (which further adds fuel efficiency), and would more easily fool the early radar systems of the era.
Unfortunately, flying wings require Fly-By-Wire technology for any sort of stable manoeuvring. That, and many other required engine technologies meant that such large aerocraft with such long range were just too ahead of their time.
Your website is great too.

I like to learn with forums, but I don't really like to be a part of them... there are a lot of people that know too much about 3D. I feel unconfortable sometimes. I'm not bad at 3D, but I'm far from good. I prefer to keep myself excluded from the "topguns".
Even so, thanks!
